This is the second piece for the Princess Tutu Secret Santa that I've done.
I'm really sorry it's late =elfgrove! I uh... don't remember who its for because I haven't had time to go looking properly for who its supposed to be for, but she requested an image depicting the relationship between Rue/Ahiru (aka Kraehe/Tutu) and I figured I'd twist around the classic Odette/Odile relationship from Swan Lake. Basically, Odile (Rue/Kraehe) is in love with the Prince, but while she tries to keep her grasp over him, Odette (Ahiru/Tutu) steals him back and Odile is rejected. We see this a lot in Princess Tutu and that's why Rue is awakened as Kraehe and why she fights against Princess Tutu in the first place. In regards to what I'm sure is a familiar pose to PTT fans, yes I referenced Mytho and Ahiru's pose from [link] ,but I did not trace it at all and I tried to make the body language more prideful to convey my theme of rivalry. Also, I totally wanted a showy-off-y pose that I remembered from the ballet of Sleeping Beauty and I couldn't find it online at first. (This pose: [link]) So if you want to get all "GRRRR ART THIEF" about it, please recognize that I thought of this pose before I remembered there was an illustration from the series of it and that I tried to create my own version of it. Just think of it as my interpretation of the pose. |
