I've started a blog in an effort to exercise my writing skills for something that is not class or work.

It's a manga review blog, centering around cliches and my critical opinions of a few manga with those cliches instead of my critical opinion of a single volume of manga that has just been released.

I posted this on the Comic Dish forums, but I figured I might as well post it here, just in case.

I am looking for an artist to collab with on a shojo-manga style webcomic that is centered around a character who is lolita.

I have yet to start writing scripts, but I have begun to come up with some character designs and plans for story lines, which I will elaborate on for anyone who is interested. Simply put, the story would center around a lolita finding herself in life, starting with recovering from a painful breakup and meeting a new guy.

If I had to compare it to something, I would say it will be somewhat like Nana in that it is dramatic and touching and revolves highly around searching for one's purpose in life. Ai Yazawa being a huge influence on me, I would not mind an artist with a cute style like hers, but I wouldn't want to do a carbon copy of any of her stories or her art.

Preferably, I would like someone interested in shojo with a cute art style and with an interest in lolita, since it and other fashions will be a large part of the comic.

22, fuck yeaaah!

Hi guys,

I figured I owed you some sort of explanation. Its been a long time since I posted anything on dA. No art since May, no journals since June and now its almost August.

Well, life has been a little crazy. I had to do my senior project and a bunch of other very important things. I was in Peru for half a month and I've been doing my Tokyopop internship for almost a month now.

All in all, things have been pretty busy on my front.

On top of that, I was in a bit of an art slump. I think I'm recovering now, but I haven't had much time or energy or the drive to do much drawing.

So this is pretty much an update to tell you guys that I'm still alive and that I'll post stuff on deviantArt again sooner or later. Please just be patient.

I kind of just fell out of the popularity contest, I guess. It wasn't really my thing to begin with. I haven't wanted to draw fanart for awhile now.

Thanks to everyone who's continued to support me though, I appreciate it.
