Ganbare, Zuko-kun! Script-Writing Contest!Hi everyone! As some of you may know, I first became popular as a fan-artist because of my two comic strips called “Ganbare, Zuko-kun!” which means “Hang in there, Zuko!”
Well, that was almost a year ago! Wow, time flies fast.
Unfortunately, I was unable to continue the comic, despite its popularity, due to lack of ideas. So now I plan on turning the tables over to you!
THE ORIGINALS:
THE CONTEST: Write me a script worthy of “Ganbare, Zuko-kun!” and I’ll pick the best three and draw them! In addition to that, there will be prizes as follows:
Best Overall:(Best of concept, execution, etc)
1 full color commission from me OR a fic written by

Most Lulzy:(a.k.a. Your script is just fucking crazy, epically funny, I have no choice but to try and bring justice to it)

THE JUDGESME!
THE RULES:1. The script MUST include the following theme: Zuko trying his hardest (usually to win over people or his honor) and failing in the most embarrassing way possible.
2. The script MUST be somewhere in between 4-10 panels. Preferably 4-8.
3. THERE WILL BE NO SHIPPING UNLESS YOU TURN IT ON ZUKO SO BAD IT HURTS. If you make it hilarious as hell, its fine. BUT ladies, gents, I do have a ship, but I don’t mind other ships and I know a lot of you don’t either. I don’t want this to be an avenue for a ship war. “Ganbare, Zuko-kun!” is for our lulz and you WILL be disqualified if I find you starting ship wars in and around my comic and contest.
4. You are limited to 3 entries.
5. Your entries do not have to be all fancy script-like. All I ask is that you split things up into panels and make the dialogue very clear. (As in put quotes around it and tell me who is saying what, etc, etc, etc.)
6. NO CROSSOVERS AND NO OC’S. Let’s keep this relatively canon, ok kiddos?
7. Don’t pull a
on me and kill off characters randomly. If they weren’t killed in the series, don’t kill them. If you just CAN’T get around this rule, you can have a ridiculously good reason to.
8. No art entries, sorry.
9. I reserve the right to edit your script for its betterment (with your help, of course.)

IMPORTANT CONTEST UPDATESWe've gotten a few entries now that have kind of gone against the rules. I've only rejected two, but I'd like to remind you guys of a few things.
1.
PLAGIARISM IS BAD: This is THE worst thing you could ever do, guys. Do not take any part of your entry DIRECTLY from the show. What should be taken from the show, is the setting and the character's personalities. We want this to be something that COULD happen in the Avatar universe, not something that DID happen but you changed JUST ENOUGH to add a different punchline in at the end. That, my friends, is plagiarism and one of the worst offenses you could commit in my eyes.
2.
KEEP IT PG-13: Its fine if you want to insert a little romance for the lulz (more on that issue below), but I'm not going to draw your lewd jokes about who's compensating for what, or the size of anyone's desirable body parts OR ANY KIND OF PENIS JOKE AT ALL. If that's what you think is funny, THIS CONTEST MIGHT NOT BE FOR YOU.

TRY TO LEAVE SHIPPING OUT OF THIS: This has been a big concern of mine with a few of the entries I've gotten so far, and in general. Try to stay away from them. Please. Or at least make it ridiculously funny.

That means all you have to do is SELL US YOUR IDEA. As the rules state, all you have to separate panels and make the dialogue glaringly obvious.
Anyone who breaks the rules will be disqualified as me and
